Zen Curvifier

This plugin offers eight bands of dynamics processing, taking the unique approach of selecting a separate, mathematical dynamics curve to be applied to each adjustable frequency band.

Unlike a traditional compressor modeling analog hardware, this plugin cuts to the heart of what dynamics processing really is.

The uses are myriad:

• Straightforward mix-bus compression, applying a curve to a few bands and bypassing the rest
• Tightening up the low end of a drum track by applying a concave curve just to frequencies below 200Hz
• Adding “air” to a drum overheads track by giving the frequencies above 6kHz a convex curve such as Inverse Hyperbolic Sine
• Creating unusual “lo-fi” effects by modifying the exponent of curves applying to several bands between 1kHz and 3kHz

An exponent control for each band allows fine-tuning the effect of the curve.
