Zen Multiband Sample Delay

Not your ordinary delay! A frequency banded delay that can fix phase issues, or radically change the character of drum sounds, by shifting some frequencies relative to the attack!

Not a traditional echo-style delay, it shines in a few areas:

• Changing the character of an individual drum track or sample - for example, moving the low frequencies of a kick drum to start slightly after the high frequency attack can give the drum many different - but authentic sounding - personalities
• Inverting the phase and adding a slight delay to the 1-3kHz range of a drum can brighten and bring out a satisfying thwack
• Correcting “phase-smear” issues with old tape recordings, tightening the low end up

The maximum delay is fairly short (the maximum depends on the input sample rate) - it’s not an echo - but extremely precise, allowing adjustment by number of samples, milliseconds, or by some number of cycles of a given note, allowing for highly accurate tuning of the output.
